Elise discovered her passion for working with children early in her career. Fresh out of college, she was recognised for her natural ability to connect with young people in a way that helped them feel safe, understood, and accepted. Encouraged by her mentor to pursue this calling, she has since dedicated her work to supporting children, adolescents, young adults, and their families through life's emotional and relational challenges.
Over the years, Elise has journeyed alongside children and teenagers from diverse backgrounds, helping them navigate emotional, behavioural, social, and relational difficulties. She has worked with young people experiencing anxiety, mood changes, emotional dysregulation, self-destructive behaviours, friendship struggles, and significant family transitions, including divorce, blended families, and the loss of a loved one.
Elise believes that every child experiences the world differently. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, she takes time to understand each young person's unique personality, strengths, and experiences. Her work is grounded in creating a therapeutic space where children and adolescents feel genuinely seen, heard, and respected—an environment that fosters trust, emotional safety, and healthy psychological development.
Recognising that not every child expresses themselves easily through words, Elise integrates a range of creative and developmentally appropriate therapeutic approaches into her work. She is trained in Sandplay Therapy and often incorporates creative modalities to help children communicate emotions, process difficult experiences, and develop greater emotional awareness in ways that feel natural and safe.
Elise also works closely with parents and caregivers, supporting them as they navigate parenting challenges, developmental concerns, behavioural issues, family relationships, and the everyday complexities of raising children. She believes that meaningful and lasting change often happens within the family system, and partners with caregivers to strengthen understanding, communication, and connection at home.
In addition to her work with children and families, Elise supports young adults and adults facing anxiety, stress, low mood, perfectionism, identity concerns, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. She provides a compassionate and collaborative space where clients can better understand themselves, build emotional resilience, and move towards healthier and more fulfilling relationships.
Alongside her clinical work, Elise is also a trained facilitator for personal growth workshops at the National Institute of Education, reflecting her commitment to emotional well-being and lifelong personal development.
